Knowing the chemical: Formaldehyde

We have this belief that indoor air is less contaminated than outdoor air. But the fact is that indoor air is more polluted than outdoor air. There are various chemicals present in indoor air which makes it unhealthy and impure. Try using air cleaners for making indoor air pure.

Formaldehyde is a type of chemical. This chemical is ubiquitous in nature so it is present everywhere in your environment. It is found in items like particle board, pressed wood products, paper products, grocery bags, waxed paper, facial tissues, paper towels, stiffeners, permanent-press clothes, carpet backings, wrinkle resisters, water repellents, adhesive binders in floor coverings and fire retardants. It is also found in most of the cleaning materials we use in our houses. Heating and cooking fuels like natural gas and kerosene contain Formaldehyde. Cigarette smoke is not an exception. This chemical causes health problems like:

· Dampness of eyes, nose and throat membrane
