Measuring quality of air indoors


To keep indoor air clean people use an indoor air purifier. But how would you decide that your home requires an air purifier. There are various ways to measure the quality of the air in your surrounding.

Before you buy an air purifier for home, have a look at few ways of measuring the quality of the air surrounding you.

1. Health effects: the simplest way is to observe the health problems you and your family members suffer from very often. Sneezing, headache, cough and cold, skin and eye irritation etc these are some of the most common health problems people face due to air pollution.

2. Sources: there are many products which we use regularly. Many of them contain chemicals that are bad for health and give rise to air pollution. Find out the products which must be contributing in indoor air pollution.

4. Human activities: control your own activities. Many of us smoke or chew tobacco; these also contribute in indoor air pollution.

5. Level of radon: measure the level of radon in your home, different types of affordable equipment are available in the market to measure it.

By following these simple ways you will be able to know how safe your indoor environment is. Then decide to buy an air cleaner. Make sure that you buy the one with HEPA filters. UV air purifiers are also good to use.
